Sooyeon Kim has been teaching voice and Opera at The Juilliard School, Pre-College Division, as a faculty member since 2007. Ms. Kim has enjoyed significant success on both opera and concert stages, studying at The Juilliard School, the University of Cincinnati and Seoul National University.

Ms. Kim has appeared in the Young Virtuoso Artist Concert at Alice Tully Hall and the Musical Miracle Concert at Carnegie Hall, among many other performances. She has sung leading roles in La Rondine, Idomeneo, Eugene Onegin, Don Giovanni, La Bohème, Rusalka, Il Viaggio a Reims and in the premiere of The Newport Rivals for the National Opera Association Convention.

Ms. Kim has participated in various music festivals in France, Italy, Japan and Switzerland. Her accolades include First Prize at the Biot International Voice Competition, judged by Christa Ludwig; the Premier Prix de Voix at the Verbier International Music Festival, awarded by Thomas Quasthoff; and the Best Performance Award from the Les Azuriales Opera Company in the UK.
